Drag icon and singer RuPaul shared some happy news this week, confirming that he married his partner Georges LeBar — and they wed back in January.

You mmmight say the two have been dating for awhile: RuPaul and George have been together for 23 years, in fact. The Emmy-winning RuPaul's Drag Race host publicly announced it to Ross Matthews and Amanda Salas on Hollywood Today Live on Wednesday (March 15), when the show's hosts asked about RuPaul's low-profile relationship.

"He's a great guy — but you know, he doesn't care about show business at all. He could care less," RuPaul said, explaining that Australian LeBar prefers life on his own massive ranch that sits on both South Dakota and Wyoming (same!). When Mathews pressed RuPaul on their future plans, he casually spilled the beans.

"I've never said this on television before: We are married!" RuPaul said, to cheers from the studio audience. They married on their 23rd anniversary, marking the fateful night the two met on the dance floor of New York City's now-defunct Limelight club — which also happens to be Georges' birthday.

"We were looking into it really for tax breaks and financial things," RuPaul told Hollywood Today Live. Gay and lesbian couples finally attained the right to marry on a federal level with a Supreme Court ruling in June of 2015.

RuPaul isn't the only star to get stealth-married this year (TRENDWATCH): Broad City's Ilana Glazer secretly married boyfriend David Rooklin in February, while Gossip Girl star Penn Badgley married Domino Kirke in a small Brooklyn City Hall ceremony.
