Scotty McCreery will release his debut album 'Clear as Day' on Oct. 4 and that's when all of the public's questions and curiosities about which creative route the 'American Idol' season 10 winner went will be answered. That didn't stop McCreery from teasing more info about the platter. He said the album will have rocking songs and more emotional ones that had to pass Ma McCreery's cry test. Those that passed were considered worthy of 'Clear as Day.'

According to Dan Van Media, McCreery said that the album will feature some "rockin' songs where they will be loud and upbeat and then some intimate songs … Some of them will make you cry."

The ones that made the album were the ones that caused his mother to shed a tear or two! He admitted, "Mama cried on a couple of them so we told all the guys to label them. When they sent me songs and demos, I would email them back and say, 'Well it passed the Mama crying test so it must be a good one.'"

While his mom gave the tearful thumbs up, McCreery wants fans to be equally moved by his tunes. The teen sad, "Hopefully it will have the same effect on you guys out there."

Once again, 'Clear as Day' drops Oct. 4.
