If you've been following 'American Idol' Season 10 winner Scotty McCreery on Twitter via the official @SMcCreeryAI10 handle, that was all well and good since it was 'American Idol' issued. However, the teen has wrestled control of the @ScottMcCreery name and has since moved his account and his 300,000 followers there, abandoning his original account.

So if you are new to Twitter or if you are a fan of the 'I Love You This Big' singer and want to keep up with all the McCreery happenings in 140 characters or less, as he works on his debut album and enjoys his time on the American Idols LIVE! tour, then you should start following him pronto.

McCreery is certainly keeping his fans and followers up to speed on what he's doing. His most recent tweet reveals that he is "on the bus to houston, writing some jams with the fellas." Talk about a real-time update that makes us drool with anticipation over his debut album. Scotty, you tease!

Apparently, though, a fan has now taken over the singer's now former Twitter account, leaving some McCreery'ites confused and irritated. The new owner of that handle clearly states that he or she is a Scotty fan, not Scotty himself, writing "I Love Scotty This Big" is in his or her bio. The new owner even offered to return the handle to McCreery if he wants it.

Hopefully McCreery can get everything straightened out and all will be right in his Twitterverse. We are all slaves to the digital realm and to technology at this point and this should be an easy fix.
