Selena Gomez Plans for Britney Spears Tribute During Tour

Selena Gomez is gearing up to hit the road for the summer, and she is already planning for several surprises!

Besides working up a handful of her favorite cover songs, Gomez says to anticipate a special tribute to take place during her show, honoring one of her favorite female singers: Britney Spears.

"I'm so stoked about [the tribute] because I love Britney," Gomez gushes to MTV News. "I was like, 'I have to do it.' I wanna do a mash-up of all her songs and just go for it!"

Gomez says the tribute will consist of Spears both past and present. "We're gonna do her hits, ' ... Baby One More Time,' and then I think we're going to try to incorporate 'Toxic' and that phase," she says. "And then we might do some of her recent new stuff."

"We haven't announced anything yet, but I'm kind of creatively thinking of what I want," she adds.

But don't look for Gomez to tear up the stage replicating any of Spears' sexy dance moves. "I'm not going to even touch Britney!" she says. "She's so good. I wouldn't want to butcher it. I'm just going to pay tribute to her! I'm gonna say she's awesome."

In a recent interview with Ryan Seacrest, Gomez revealed that Spears was the first concert she ever attended. "We were in the nosebleeds with my cousin," she recalls. "I got the T-shirt and glow stick, and I just remember it being the highlight of my life! I felt like I was on cloud nine!"
