Skrillex + Ellie Goulding Split

Sometimes love just ain't enough. Dubstep DJ Skrillex and his singer girlfriend Ellie Goulding have reportedly ended their incredibly long-distance relationship. She is largely based in the U.K., while he is in the U.S., meaning their was an ocean between them, making it increasingly difficult to be together. Boo!

Goulding and Skrillex began dating in February, and she appeared on his 'Bangarang' EP. She gushed about her love for him in her Paper cover story, and it seemed as though the twosome worked really hard to make it work. She even joked that she set the feminist movement back by dropping everything to fly out to see him and to be with him. That sounded like love and dedication to us.

However, The Sun is reporting that the duo is kaput (quotes via WENN). A source close to the situation said, "They just couldn’t make it work. They both have successful careers and live in different countries." Could you imagine the enormity of their cell phone bills? And all those transcontinental flights? They're not cheap, even when you are a young, successful artist, such as these two.

Living on other sides of the world certainly makes maintaining a relationship tough business. She had hinted that she would be moving to Los Angeles in order to be closer to her beloved, but that big move didn't seem to materialize.

What a shame. They were such an adorable couple.
