A blonde and a Blondie walk into a recording studio...

Yesterday (August 31), Blondie guitarist Chris Stein posted an Instagram photo of his band's iconic lead singer, Debbie Harry, in New York City's Mercy Sound Studios with Sky Ferreira. The details surrounding the visit were scant, and it's not even certain if any music was made — but either way, Ferreira certainly made an impression on Stein.

"She's great," he captioned the shot, and later noted "Sky is the real deal" in a separate post. Is a potential Ferr-arry collaboration in the realm of possibility? Let's hope so, especially as Sky's got some new music coming.

In July, the singer teased a short, ominous snippet from a track off her forthcoming album, Masochism, which is slated for release in 2016. The track, which is likely called "Guardian," is dark and embellished with melancholy strings—precisely the mood we'd expect from someone who'd gone to war with her record label via social media the month before.

Yup, in June, Sky accused Polydor of hanging her out to dry and even using her ideas to produce other artists' projects.

"Me pulling teeth to get a video made from people who literally make treatments shot by shot of my previous video with another artist (sic)," she wrote, according to Contact Music. "Ever heard of intellectual property?…I don’t get the support I should have by now…At least have the decency to give me some support/budget/promotion for my work, if you’re going to rip off my previous work that I paid for."

Well, whatever Sky and Blondie have in store, let's hope it plays out a little more peacefully.

What do you think is going on between these two, and what type of track would you hope they'd make? Sound off in the comments!
