UPDATE: Taylor Swift won Round 1 and has moved on to the semi-finals. You can vote for her here!

Imagine going to high school with Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus. With that kind of talent wandering the halls, school musicals and chorus concerts would be epic, and it's safe to say that the race for Prom Queen would be a tough one! In Round 1 of PopCrush's Prom King and Queen of 2014 competition -- in which our readers are deciding who should be crowned -- two of our favorite young female stars are facing off. It's up to you, the fans, to vote for the winner of this round!

Taylor Swift always has a smile on her face and a charming personality, so she'd probably be friendly with the whole student body. Before the crowning of the Prom King and Queen, she'd likely host a massive cookie baking party at her house and then organize a bake sale with those treats, in order to raise enough money for the ultimate prom for her class. After prom, she'd probably write a song about what happened -- whether it was a magical evening with a handsome guy that ends with a kiss in the rain, or a night going wild with her friends and dancing to songs like '22.' Plus, Taylor wears the best dresses (and we'd be expecting lots of sparkle on her at prom)!

On the other hand, this past year has arguably been Miley Cyrus' biggest of her career. Everyone has been talking about her, and while her performances may be a little more controversial than Taylor's, Miley's fans -- her Smilers -- are right on board with everything she does. There's no doubt that she'd have a large group of friends at school who would love to see her as Prom Queen. It's easy to like Miley when you see just how genuine and passionate she is about the people and things that matter to her! And if Miley was crowned Prom Queen of 2014, you can bet she'd throw a killer after party.
