Vanilla Ice, also known as Robert Van Winkle, was arrested earlier today (Feb. 18) in connection with a residential burglary. TMZ is reporting that the "Ice Ice Baby" rapper has been charged with grand theft in addition to burglary for reportedly stealing furniture, a pool heater, bicycles and a number of different items from a vacant house located next to a property of his that he had been renovating.

According to police, it looks like the vacant house Ice ransacked was about to be foreclosed, so Ice decided to seize the opportunity by reportedly taking a bunch of items that were still inside. The owner of the house realized that the items were missing, so they pressed charges. The burglary allegedly took place at some point between Dec. 2014 and Feb. 2015.

Palm Beach Post reports that once a police investigation was underway, the authorities reportedly found the items that had gone missing at a home belonging to Ice. Ice eventually met with detectives of his own volition and provided a sworn statement to the authorities, where he was then taken into custody.

This isn't the first time Ice has run into legal trouble. Back in 1991, he was reportedly arrested on firearm charges after threatening a homeless man with a pistol. Then in 2001, he was arrested again for assaulting his wife. He was also arrested in 2008 and charged with battery for allegedly hitting and kicking his wife.
