Vin Diesel just honored Paul Walker in the most touching tribute of all, revealing to NBC that he named his newborn baby girl after his late co-star.

"I named her Pauline," the actor told reporter Natalie Morales, getting visibly choked up at the memory. "There's no other person that I was thinking about as I was cutting this umbilical cord. I knew he was there. And it felt like a way to keep his memory a part of my family and a part of my world."

Diesel and his longtime girlfriend, Paloma Jimenez, welcomed their baby girl into the world earlier this month. The actor announced the news via Facebook, posting an unbelievably sweet selfie, which you can check out above. Diesel and Jimenez are also the proud parents of Hania Riley Sinclair, 6, and Vincent Sinclair, 4.

In addition to being close co-stars in the Fast and the Furious franchise, Vin Diesel and Paul Walker had been best friends up until Walker's untimely death. After Walker tragically died in a fiery car crash in 2013, Diesel has paid tribute to his late friend in numerous ways, including putting together an emotional and incredibly touching tribute video, and most recently, breaking down during a speech at an advanced screening of The Fast and the Furious 7.

While Vin Diesel will forever mourn Paul Walker, we love that his memory is living on in his best friend's daughter. It is a truly unbelievable gesture.
