The 'Cannibal' queen is back! Kesha will release a new album in 2012, much to the delight of her many fans. The Tennessee native hasn't released too many official details about her upcoming project yet, but after scouring through tons of Kesha news that broke throughout 2011, we are going to make a few educated guesses as to what fans might expect from her 2012 album.

So far, Kesha has confirmed that she worked on the album, which she describes as having a "rock and roll" sound, while she was out on tour. "The next album … I’ve been working on writing on the road, but as far as a sound, I just know it’s gonna be balls-out, irreverent rock and roll," Kesha said of her 2012 LP. "I’ve been pretty much in this ’70s rock and roll kick and I just want to capture some of the true essence of what rock and roll is, and that’s just irreverence and sexiness and fun and not giving a f---, so we’ll definitely put a bit of rock and roll in it."

This wasn't the first time Kesha has cited rock and roll as a heavy influence for her forthcoming project, either. The 'Blow' songstress actually said that she hopes to bring rock and roll back into the mainstream limelight with her new album. "I feel like I don’t necessarily agree, but people say that rock and roll is dead, and it is my mission and my goal to resurrect it in the form of my pop music," Kesha said. "That’s the goal. We’ll see what happens. That’s a very ambitious and lofty goal, but that’s my goal."

"I very much want to be seen as a strong woman, but I realize that vulnerability can also be a strength. So on my next record, you are going to hear probably a little more of that," Kesha continued when asked about her 2012 album. She also went on to say that covering Bob Dylan's 'Don't Think Twice, It's Alright' for a tribute inspired her forthcoming LP. "I’m not going to make an acoustic, sad entire record. But you might hear a little bit more vulnerability on the next record ’cause I have realized just from this Dylan cover coming out that it can be such a strength and a nice balance to humanize the other side of my personality," she said.

As of yet, Kesha hasn't announced any official album tracks for her 2012 project. However, plenty of new Kesha tunes have been circulating throughout the Internet over the past year, including 'Last Boyfriend,' 'Tease Me' and 'Shots on the Hood of My Car.' Demos of tracks entitled '31 Seconds' and 'U Better Know' have also been making their rounds among Kesha fans -- however, since Kesha also writes songs for other pop stars (i.e. 'Till the World Ends' by Britney Spears), it's unclear if she has hit the studio to record the tracks herself.

Considering all of the Kesha songs listed above are speculative inclusions for her 2012 album, it's nice that we have one solid fact. Kesha's collaborator Dr. Luke let it slip that fans should expect a new Kesha album by May 2012 or earlier. So there you have it, Kesha lovers -- only a few more months until you hear some new material from your favorite 'Sleazy' songstress.
