America saved Tony Lucca for Team Adam Levine on 'The Voice,' so Katrina Parker and Mathai had to perform for the save on tonight's (April 24) elimination episode. Levine ended up choosing Parker after a long, drawn out speech about his love for both of them and their talents, therefore ending Mathai's run on the show. So Lucca and Parker will represent Team Adam in the semis next week.
Team Adam's Katrina Parker started the second round of live performances on 'The Voice' tonight (April 9) on a disappointing note, never quite bringing the Smashing Pumpkins classic 'Tonight, Tonight' to life. Katrina was not fully to blame, as the radical rearrangement of the song did her no favors.
After watching his two team members battle each other on 'Bleeding Love' by Leona Lewis, 'The Voice' mentor Adam Levine seemed eager to hide behind his cardigan for the remainder of the show on Monday night. On stage host Carson Daly urged him to choose between Angel Taylor and Katrina Parker. Levine agonized over the decision, before agonizing some more.
Katrina Parker's move to Hollywood was sidetracked in 2008 when mold in her home made her sick for over two years. The 34-year-old returned to her dream during a blind audition on 'The Voice' Monday night, and sang Joan Osbourne's 'One of Us' well enough to convince Adam Levine to turn around.
