2015 Ram Trucks ‘Roots and Wings’ Commercial — What’s The Song?

In a 2015 Ram Trucks commercial, Miranda Lambert can be seen singing straight into the camera, wearing a white, lace dress. The commercial shows her playing guitar and reminiscing about her past. It goes on to show family photos, as well as her thinking about her life and what she's come from to make it to where she is today.

So, what's the song? The song is called 'Roots and Wings' and, interestingly enough, is not part of an album or EP. According to Taste of Country, the song was written specifically for a series of Ram Trucks commercials and ads. Of the song, Miranda said, "I am very inspired by what the Ram brand stands for — being who you are, working hard, staying true to your roots. I wanted to write a song that would represent all of those things. ‘Roots and Wings’ is personal to me about where I come from and where I am going. The guys at Ram really made the lyrics come to life with the imagery and I hope it speaks to people the way it does to me.”
