Adele Performs ‘Hello’ Live At The NRJ Awards

It's been roughly three years since Adele last toured or performed live, but luckily, that depressing hiatus is about to be a thing of the past. After recently recording a live performance and Q&A for the BBC—for a special which will air on television later in the month—the British songstress made a triumphant return to the stage last night in Cannes.

The 27-year-old singer was in town to perform at the NRJ Awards in France on November 7, where she treated an unsuspecting crowd to a rousing, powerful performance of her hit single, "Hello." Looking flawless in a structured black A-line skirt and sparkling top and backed by a small orchestral band, Adele made a grand and emotional show of "Hello," proving that even though it's been a while, the girl hasn't lost her magic touch.

Of course, it'd be difficult for "Hello" to be anything but stunning live. After all, the sweeping comeback single off Adele's forthcoming 25 album has literally broken a plethora of records since premiering back in October.

"Hello" sold over 1.1 million digital tracks in its first week, breaking the 1 million download mark on Billboard, and was also the most-streamed song in a week on Spotify, streaming 47.5 million times globally. Even the music video broke records on Vevo, garnering over 27 million views within 24 hours of its initial release, surpassing Taylor Swift's "Bad Blood" which previously held the record at 20.1 million views. It also hit over 100 million views on the video streaming platform in a shorter time span than Miley Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball," the previous record holder.
