If you were at South by Southwest 11 years ago, did you see Adele perform? If you answered "yes," you're probably lying...unless you were one of the (unknowingly at the time) lucky few present at the Xfm hotel room on March 19, 2007.

The then relatively unknown singer joined her XL labelmate Jack Penate to play a rendition of "My Yvette" off the singer-songwriter's debut album Matinée. One (unknowingly at the time) smart concert goer decided to record the performance, and the footage has been recently unearthed on YouTube. In the clip, you see a young Adele sitting in a standard hotel arm chair, her angelic voice soaring as she sings her parts of the duet.

Unbeknownst to anyone in the room, including Adele most likely, the singer would release her debut album 19 to unbelievable success a mere nine months later, and her name would soon be one known globally.

SXSW 2018's music portion runs March 12-18 throughout downtown Austin, Texas, and will boast both international big names and "ones to watch" like Adele was over a decade ago. Who knows who will capture the next "big thing" singing in a hotel room to nearly no one.

Watch the full performance below.
