Country girl Adley Stump was caught in a bidding war between coaches Blake Shelton and Christina Aguilera on the blind auditions of tonight's episode (Feb. 27) of 'The Voice.' The upper hand obviously went to Shelton, since he's a country superstar. But Xtina pleaded her case rather passionately to try and persuade Stump to join her squad.

Stump, with her headband and her cowgirl boots, looked every inch the country gal. She sounded it, too, when she sang Carrie Underwood's 'Last Name' with country sass and flair. We all sorts of liked her.

It was an easy choice for Shelton, since Stump is smack dab in his wheelhouse. Xtina said she liked Stump's chops and wants to help refine her voice, while Shelton argued that he is a better fit since country music about telling stories, not vocal Olympics, like Xtina would expect from her and of her.

While Stump professed her love for Aguilera and shared that she and her sorority sisters would dance on tables to 'Lady Marmalade,' the down home gal chose Shelton. We know, we're stuck on that dancing on tables thing. We're sure it was all in good fun.

Country is as country does. We don't doubt that this pairing will work wonders together.
