'American Idol' Contestant Emily Anne Reed sings like she is from another era. While she boasts tattoos on her arms like a modern pin-up girl, her voice hearkens back to the 1940s. It has an old time quality and when the redhead sweetly sang 'You're Getting to Be a Habit With Me,' she even improvised a lyric, singing "Please pick me judges." It was as adorable as her voice. She reminded us of a more throwback version of Lily Allen; we could envision her singing in a speakeasy.

Jennifer Lopez deemed Reed's voice "the most interesting we've heard in eight cities" but it was Steven Tyler who gave Reed a "no." He asked her to do something else, so she pulled out a guitar, strummed, sang and turned Tyler's "nay" into a "yay."

Reed recently lost her home in a fire, but her spirits certainly were not damped by her personal turmoils. She's got our attention with her unusual style.
