The top 11 contestants on 'American Idol' will hit the road this summer for the American Idol Live Tour, where they'll make $1,000 each per show, as well as a share of merchandising revenue and additional spending money.

TMZ, which claims to have obtained a copy of the contract, reported the details. The vocalists will receive an extra $50 per day on days off, and they'll fly coach and stay in hotels on the level of the Marriott and Hyatt.

The list of shows includes nearly 50 dates, starting July 6 in West Valley City, Utah, so the compensation will add up to a nice chunk of change for each contestant.

Some fans have reacted to the news with disappointment, insisting that $1,000 per show is insufficient, considering that the 'Idol' finalists will be filling arenas nationwide. Still, the show did make these performers household names. And $50,000 isn't bad for two months of work. For those finalists who go on to successful pop music careers, this paycheck will be just the beginning.

With Haley Reinhart getting the boot last week, the competition is down to Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina. The Season 10 winner will be crowned this Wednesday.
