For the third and final round of performances, the down-home country 'American Idol' superstar, Scotty McCreery, announced his song choice during a visit to his hometown of Garner, N.C. Standing atop a grocery store counter surrounded by neighbors and fans, McCreery received a text from the judges saying they wanted him to perform the Kenny Rogers ballad 'She Believes in Me.'

While singing the moving Kenny Rogers tune, McCreery killed it onstage, yet again. The 'Idol' finalist delivered a raw, honest vocal performance as his tone soared during the heartfelt chorus: "And she believes in me / I'll never know just what she sees in me / I told her someday if she was my girl / I could change the world."

When judging time rolled around, Steven Tyler told McCreery, "I do believe that is the first big chorus you sang in a big way like that." Jennifer Lopez agreed, saying, "Good job, baby. [I'm] so proud of you," while Randy Jackson acclaimed McCreery for being "so tender and sweet."

In between comments, one of Scotty's fans from the audience was able to get a word in as well, shouting, "Welcome to the finale, Scotty!" We would have to agree with that confident voice from the crowd!
