Pink Breaks Her Own Record + Impresses Cher
It takes a real badass chick to impress Cher, but leave it to Pink be that broad. The 'Truth About Love' singer just made history -- and a fan of the ageless legend and icon herself.
Pink co-wrote two songs on Cher's similarly themed album, 'Closer to the Truth.' One is 'I Walk Alone,' on which she provides backing vocals, and the other is 'Lie to Me,' which Cher says is a ballad that "all the women cry at."
Cher only had praise for Pink, with whom she shares a manager. She told Billboard, "I admire anybody for standing up for what they believe -- man or woman, I don't care. Having beliefs -- especially if other people don't agree with you -- it's difficult in this day and age."
Meanwhile, Pink made history in Australia, where she just shattered her own record. She nabbed her 18th soldout performance at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, collecting a gross of $29.2 million -- the largest total for any headliner at a single venue this year. You go, girl!
