Billie Eilish Drops ‘COPYCAT,’ Announces Debut EP
Billie Eilish is ready for her breakout.
On Friday (July 14), the rising pop phenom dropped a brooding new song called "COPYCAT," as well as announced her highly anticipated debut EP, the delightfully-titled don't smile at me.
Produced by Billie's brother, Finneas O'Connell, don't smile at me, which features "COPYCAT" as well as previously released single "Watch," is due out August 11.
Featuring a sinister, lurching hip hop beat and gloomy, ethereal vocals, "COPYCAT" is a call to arms against conformity. "It's about when people do everything someone else does to the point that they are not even themselves anymore," Billie explains in a press release. Listen below:
Following a mini-tour across Europe, the teenage alt-pop artist will also embark on her first North American tour this fall, hitting up major cities like New York, Philadelphia and Los Angeles. A pre-sale for fans begins on Wednesday, July 19, with general public tickets on sale Friday, July 21.
