Today, Britney Spears' latest album got an unofficial review via Twitter. Rolling Stone writer Will Hermes tweeted his thoughts on the new Spears album during a listening party earlier today.

Hermes first tweeted about the album, saying it reminded him of a trippier time in his life: "Listening to new Britney LP at an undisclosed location. Having an MDMA flashback. #FrenchFilterHouseHasTakenOverTheWorld."

The Rolling Stone writer went on to share his thoughts and sense of humor, tweeting, "Not talking vocal effects as pitch correction or T-Pain/Kanye horny robot coos, but as kaleidoscopic phoneme collage. #Britney."

The journalist continued cracking light-hearted jokes, saying, "Lyric that made me laugh out loud, approvingly: '(Drop Dead) Beautiful' #AllPurposeAnthems #Britney." However, Hermes then switched his humor out for sincerity, writing, "I hear you. 'Criminal' sounds almost like she's addressing herself."

Hermes also gave little glimpses into tracks that fans have yet to hear in their entirety. He wrote, "Dr. Luke + Max Martin dropping a dubstep break on 'Seal It With a Kiss.' I love it when the avant-garde seeps into the mainstream. #IThink."

It is so interesting to hear a critic's immediate reception of an album! So far, Ms. Spears has leaked snippets of eight tracks that will appear on 'Femme Fatale,' which is slated for release on March 29.
