Can't anyone just leave Britney alone?!

There's more legal drama surrounding Britney Spears, who is enjoying one helluva a comeback with 'Femme Fatale.' Billboard reports that Spears' former manager Sam Lutfi is suing Brit's mother, Lynne Spears, for defamation.

In her memoir 'Through the Storm,' Mama Spears deemed Lutfi a master manipulator and claimed he secretly drugged Brit Brit when serving as her manager, cutting off access to her and restricting her mobility until he was eventually fired in 2008.

Lutfi claims that all those accusations are untrue and that he entered the scene well after Brit's meltdown and public unraveling. As part of his legal claims, Lutfi wants his former client to give a deposition in the case and to tell her side of the story, but her parents and attorneys are reluctant and are trying to block that from happening -- claiming that Brit is mentally incapable of testifying.

Lutfi asked the judge to order a psychiatric evaluation of Spears in response to this fact, to prove that she is in fine mental health and capable of speaking out. While many questioned Brit's decisions and mental state a few years ago when she was driving with her kids on her lap, shaving her head and beating the crap out of paparazzi cars, the singer seems on the straight and narrow, and in the best shape she's ever been. Lutfi even referenced Ryan Seacrest's March 2011 radio interview with Brit as proof that she is mentally fit.

However, Brit Brit is still under her father's conservatorship, along with the family's lawyer, and their priority is keeping Brit as far away from Lutfi as possible, so they are trying to prevent her from speaking out about Lutfi.

Looks like this one will be sorted out in the courts.
