Britney Spears is the latest artist to come to the aid of victims who were affected by the Japanese earthquake two weeks ago.

MTV reports that Brit donated a pair of tickets to the upcoming taping of her 'Good Morning America' performance this Sunday in San Francisco to a local radio station. The station, Wild 94.9, promptly auctioned off the tickets, the proceeds of which will benefit The Salvation Army's efforts to help rebuilt Japan.

The winning bid topped out at $1,1336 and it all goes to a good, worthwhile cause.

Spears, who will perform in Las Vegas tomorrow, is pre-taping her performance this coming Sunday. The footage will air on Tuesday, the same day that her new album 'Femme Fatale' lands in stores. Spears will now perform at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, as opposed to the originally planned location in the Castro district due to expected bad weather.

She will be interviewed by 'GMA' host Robin Roberts, who earlier this week probed Chris Brown about his assault last year. Something tells us Roberts won’t push Brit too much, and will keep her questions centered on the album.

We can't wait to tune in and see our favorite pop music Femme Fatale perform on 'GMA' again.
