Britney Spears is ready to unveil the visuals for 'I Wanna Go,' the third single from her chart-topping 'Femme Fatale' album.

Billboard says the video will debut on Wednesday at 6AM on MTV, just ahead of the eligibility cutoff date for this year's Video Music Awards. Spears has a long history with the VMAs, earning more than 20 career nominations and multiple wins, including Video of the Year for 'Piece of Me' at the 2008 ceremony.

Little is known about the 'I Wanna Go' clip, except that it was directed by Chris Marrs Piliero and shot in Los Angeles last month. Based on the song's lyrics, in which Brit sings about "takin' out my freak tonight," we're hoping for something edgy, with lots of dancing.

Yesterday, the director tweeted, "Finished editing the I Wanna Go music video... love it... met up with Britney Spears... we watched it together... she loved it... stoked..."

'I Wanna Go' is the third video from 'Femme Fatale,' following 'Hold it Against Me' and 'Till the World Ends.' Spears is playing 'I Wanna Go' near the end of her set on the Femme Fatale Tour, which kicked off last night in Sacramento.
