Fifth Harmony Fans React to Camila Cabello’s Sudden Departure

Fifth Harmony shrunk to a four-woman ensemble late last night (December 19) when Camila Cabello (or, more accurately, Cabello's reps) announced she was leaving the group, which has been together for nearly five years. And while many fans saw the move coming from a mile away, some were left genuinely gobsmacked.

Just hours before the announcement, Cabello and Fifth Harmony performed at Y100’s Jingle Ball 2016 at the BB&T Center in Sunrise, Florida. The set made Cabello's departure all the more shocking, but the group's remaining members insisted the shakeup did not signal the concrete end of 5H.

"You Harmonizers have been there with us since the beginning, you’ve supported us, you’ve rejoiced and cried with us, you’ve grown with us, and with your love and support we will continue on," they wrote.

"We are excited for our future, and we can't wait for what the new year bring," the note continued. "Harmonizers, we are in this together, we love you with all of our hearts."

Sadly, the love was not reciprocal in all cases, and many fans quickly moved to express their devastation. Others, however, managed to find the humor in Cabello's departure, and tried to lighten the move with jokes.
