Did Newcomer Carishma Steal Britney Spears’ Beat From ‘He About to Lose Me’?

Pop newcomer Carishma is entering the music scene with her debut single 'Glow in the Dark,' but the song's track bears an uncanny resemblance to that of Britney Spears' 'He About to Lose Me.'

The beat and guitar line sample of the two songs are very similar, which doesn't come as too much of a surprise since Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins, who audiences may remember from Bravo's 'Platinum Hit,' worked on both songs. However, it sounds as if the Grammy-winning producer borrowed from himself.

The sample, if you will, is in a different key, but upon first listen, it's clear that the songs have the same DNA. In fact, the up-and-coming singer admits to the likeness. "Britneys producer did this for me & approved it," Carishma tweeted about the track in response to finger-pointers. "I love Brit too!"

Another fan questioned whether the Sean Garrett protege had heard Spears' 'Femme Fatale' track. "Yes," she replied. "Same producer did this for me , I love it. ;)."
