Following the heartbreaking deaths of Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds, Charlie Sheen has one request for 2016: Can Donald Trump "please" be "next"?

The actor received a swarm of backlash after posting a tweet pleading with God to take "Trump next, please" on Wednesday, December 28, right after the passing of two of Hollywood's most beloved icons.

"Dear God; Trump next, please!" Sheen tweeted enthusiastically, adding, "Trump next, please! Trump next, please! Trump next, please! Trump next, please! Trump next, please!"

After receiving both support as well as negative response to his tweet, Sheen defended his impromptu, uh, "prayer."

"The media's reaction to last night's tweet is inanely emblematic of the panoramic timorousness, draped vastly and wantonly, across any and all expressions of hope or joy, that we now dare to publish or impart," he wrote in a follow-up tweet. "Oh, and by the way, I was talking to God, not you."
