Chloe Sevigny Does the Unthinkable, Disses Jennifer Lawrence

If there's one actress who is loved, admired and respected by everyone, it's Jennifer Lawrence. The actress is that rare thing: a genuinely talented movie star who has managed to remain down to Earth, candid and flat-out hilarious even in the face of extreme success and fame. It's just impossible not to like or root for her.

….Or so we thought. It turns out that even though J. Law has won the hearts of critics, audiences and Academy Awards voters alike, there's one woman in Hollywood who is less than charmed by the Hunger Games star.

Chloe Sevigny talked to V Magazine about her upcoming art book, the state of Hollywood and what it takes to be a movie star. The interview is full of interesting and insightful comments, but we're still reeling from one offhand remark she made about a certain Hollywood darling. "Jennifer Lawrence I find really annoying," she said. "Too crass."

The comment came after the interviewer observed that "nowadays, you can't be an actor without having a big personality to match." Chloe agreed, saying, "So much is about marketing and selling the product. They’ll have a really peppy funny girl on the talk show rounds, and everybody adores her and loves her and wants to be her or f--- her, and then so many more people want to watch the movie or TV show. I understand that star quality, how much value that carries."

Admittedly, Chloe did praise some other Hollywood actresses, calling Angelina Jolie "a great movie star" and hailing Emma Stone as "really cute."

Obviously, Chloe is entitled to her own opinion, but we'll continue to praise Jennifer's incredible talent and endearing personality.
