Christina Aguilera's boyfriend, Matt Rutler, is off the hook in his DUI case stemming from a March incident. The Los Angeles County District Attorney has dropped the charges against the production assistant, citing insufficient evidence.

Rutler was busted March 1 for driving under the influence after he and Aguilera had dinner together. However, his blood-alcohol level was determined to be .06, which is less than California's legal limit of .08.

Aguilera, who was a passenger in the car, was taken into custody for public drunkenness but never officially charged with any crime. The news of Rutler escaping DUI charges is timely for the pop star, whose stint as a coach on NBC's new singing competition program 'The Voice' premieres April 26.
