Cody Simpson Shares Studio Session Footage

Australian teen pop star Cody Simpson is giving fans a peek into his recording studio with a new YouTube video that features a brand new song.

The two-minute clip shows Simpson, relaxed in sunglasses and a tank top, hanging out behind the mixing board with producers as he listens to a newly-recorded track. "You wanna say no, no, it ain't gonna work / But then you fumble your words / No, you're running out of reasons," Cody sings on the mid-tempo track, which sounds like a possible hit in the making.

He briefly goes behind the mike to lay down harmony vocals, then lip-synchs to the recording of his song as he sips what looks like a coffee or milkshake. It appears as though making music is still more fun than work for the young star.

Simpson announced at the premiere of 'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1' that he's planning to release his full-length debut in 2012. The album will follow his EPs '4 U' and 'Coast to Coast.'
