Columbian ‘American Idol’ Contestant Julie Zorrilla Wins Judges Over With Voice and Gold Shoes

'American Idol' contestant Julie Zorrilla -- a native of Columbia who lived in a dream home atop the Andes in the rain forest until guerillas invaded and her family was forced to flee -- won the discerning judges over with her sparkly gold heels and her golden voice. Since Jennifer Lopez is a fashionista, she was quick to compliment Zorrilla on her ankle strap shoes.

Zorrilla, who celebrated her 20th birthday on the day of her audition, was proof positive that to be an 'Idol,' you have to embody several key traits and that includes image, energy and you have to exude confidence.

After Zorrilla, who is extraordinarily beautiful, offered her rendition of 'Summertime,' Lopez pointed out a very important facet: while some contestants can sing, they don't bring it with a full package of star quality and confidence. She said Zorrilla doesn't fall into that category. She even mused "Winner, maybe?" to her fellow judges.
