David Guetta, Akon and Ne-Yo teamed up to turn the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, the site of the 2013 Billboard Music Awards, into Sin City's biggest and most star-studded dance party with their live rendition of 'Play Hard.'

Guetta, fresh off winning his award forTop EDM Artist in gracious, class act fashion, was standing on his riser, manipulating his decks, surrounded by flashing green lights, doing what he does best and that's manipulate a beat. It was appealing on both the audio and visual level.

Of course, the assists from crooners like Akon and Ne-Yo helped to get the crowd moving and bumping even harder. It was a performance that showed all music fans that EDM is a viable genre and that it co-exists peacefully and beautifully with pop and urban music and artists. EDM has become a monster genre in the space of a few years, with Guetta leading the charge. His performance tonight (May 19) was emblematic of what the genre is capable of.
