Burglars Planned to Break Into Demi Lovato’s House After She Announced Rehab
Demi Lovato is currently right where she needs to be: in an out-of-state rehab facility getting treatment. While her time spent away from home is much-needed, it also means the pop star's house is largely uninhabited right now, making it a target for would-be Hollywood burglars.
TMZ shockingly reports that a group of thieves, who were arrested shortly after Lovato was released from the hospital in early August, were preparing to hit up the singer's house while she was out of town.
Law enforcement sources told the tabloid that the group, whose initial arrests were completely unrelated to Lovato, were found with electronic communications revealing plans to target Lovato's home.
Sources told TMZ that "the LAPD was notified right away of the perps' plan and added extra patrols around Demi's house ... to keep an eye on any suspicious activity."
There have been no break-ins reported at Lovato's residence so far.
On July 24, Lovato was rushed to Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles after suffering an overdose. It's believed her OD was triggered by Oxycodone laced with Fentanyl, allegedly provided by a dealer named Brandon Johnson.
The performer relocated to a rehabilitation center after spending more than a week recovering in the hospital.
