Drake kicked off his Club Paradise Tour on Thursday night at beleaguered Penn State University, giving students a reason to cheer amid the national scandal that has enveloped the football program and taken down many of the school's highest-ranking administrators.

The rapper's show before 15,000 at the Bryce Jordan Center was billed as a way to help the campus heal. As Rap-Up reports, Drake wore a Penn State hoodie and took to the mic to offer his support to the Nittany Lion community.

"Despite everything that's going on around you, this is one of the greatest schools in the motherf---in' world," Drake announced. "I love you. I'd love to come back some time, maybe with some of my family like Nicki Minaj. So while I work on making that happen, you work on being the beautiful people that you are. And until next time I see you, take care."

Drake played 'Marvin's Room,' 'Make Me Proud,' 'Headlines,' and several other tracks from his new album 'Take Care,' which hits stores next week.
