Ellen DeGeneres paid tribute to her late friend Carrie Fisher on Wednesday, January 4.

"I knew her for a long time. She’s been on the show many times, and the last time was just a month ago. And I loved when she was here," DeGeneres said, honoring the actress by sharing clips of her previous appearances on the talk show.

Fisher, who passed away at the age of 60 after suffering a heart attack on December 27, was a frequent guest on The Ellen DeGeneres Show over the years, and even starred in an episode of Ellen, the sitcom, back in 1995.

"She made me laugh so hard," DeGeneres added of Fisher. "She was smart, she was funny, she was hilariously honest about herself and the world around her."

Watch up top.
