G-Eazy Uses His ‘XXL’ Cover to Pass Airport Security
Even celebrities have to deal with the hassle that is airport security, but G-Eazy had a creative fix after losing his ID: Using his XXL magazine cover as proof of identity.
Halsey, who's been dating the rapper since last year, tweeted about the predicament on Wednesday (March 28), writing that she was "so annoyed" by her boyfriend's behavior.
"Gerald lost his ID and he’s trying to use the cover of @XXL as part of his additional identification to get through airport security I’m so annoyed," she said, referencing G-Eazy's real name, Gerald Gillum (because duh, she doesn't call him G-Eazy" in real life).
The "No Limit" performer, however, had no regrets. "It worked," he wrote alongside a shrugging emoji, quoting Halsey's original tweet.
It's unclear where the pair were going, but both are gearing up for upcoming tours, G-Eazy in support of his 2017 album, The Beautiful and Damned, and Halsey for her sophomore record, Hopeless Fountain Kingdom. Halsey begins the last leg of her trek April 19 in Auckland, New Zealand, while G-Eazy hits the road May 2 in Stockholm, Sweden.
They were last spotted together catching some sun in Miami.
