Spice Girls' former band member Geri Halliwell has a special treat in store for her fans. "Ginger Spice" recently revealed to the UK's newspaper publication, the Mirror, that she has been in the studio compiling a new solo album.

“The album’s pretty much finished,” Halliwell told the publication [quotes via Idolater]. “I’m not sure on dates yet, and I won’t tell you what it sounds like, because I’d prefer to let the songs speak for themselves. But it’ll be great to be back where I belong, on stage. It won’t be long.”

Four years ago, Halliwell reunited with her fellow Spice Girls for a reunion tour, and she has also being dabbling in the fashion scene, designing and modeling her own line of swimwear and evening dress wear.

Halliwell is hoping for a 2011 release on her new album, which follow her three previous solo projects which have been released between 1999 and 2005. Those albums have spawned the hit singles 'Mi Chico Latino,' 'Lift Me Up,' 'Bag It Up,' and her cover of 'It's Raining Men' from the Bridget Jones' Diary soundtrack. All four of those tunes hit No. 1 on the UK charts.

While fans patiently await the new album from Halliwell, they can check out the forthcoming fifth solo album from Spice Girls' Melanie C titled, 'The Sea,' which is scheduled to arrive in stores on Sept. 4.
