Along with a recent announcement that she will play Mother Superior in the upcoming 'Three Stooges' film, 'Glee' star Jane Lynch is adding another gig to her already impressive resume. Lynch will host the 2011 Emmys.

"I am tickled pink to be hosting the Primetime Emmys. I’m looking forward to singing, dancing and sporting my finest tracksuit," Lynch, 50, said in a statement.

The Emmys executive producer Mark Burnett knew that Lynch was "the one," saying, "Jane was my first -- and only -- choice as the host for this year’s Primetime Emmys, and I am glad she said 'yes.' She has incredible comedic timing, and is a charismatic, talented actress whose energy leaps off the screen and stage. I am thrilled and excited to have her as our host."

Lynch, who shot to mainstream fame playing Sue Sylvester on the hit musical series, has an impressive background in both indie and mainstream comedies and her knack for deadpan, sardonic delivery is well-documented via her work in 'Best in Show' as well as her hilarious turns in 'Talladega Nights' and 'Role Models.' Now, with an Emmy hosting gig on the horizon, it's clear that Jane Lynch can do anything.

The 2011 Emmys will air live from Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday, Sept. 18, on Fox.
