Looking angelic and ethereal despite her rock goddess ensemble—a black mesh gown, slicked back blonde locks, and wearing her signature red pout—No Doubt front-woman, Voice judge, and solo pop songstress Gwen Stefani put on an understated yet powerful performance of her recent mid-tempo breakup ballad, "Used To Love You," during the 2015 American Music Awards.

Standing statuesque against a backdrop composed of screens playing the track's emotive music video, as well as a hazy blue laser show, Gwenny-Gwen-Gwen both looked and sounded beautiful tonight, her vocals strong and confident despite the raw content of the lyrics. As shadow dancers leaped and twirled in the smoke behind her, red lasers dramatically punctuated each emotive "Oh, oh, oh, oh!"

Inspired by Stefani's heartbreaking breakup from husband of thirteen years Gavin Rossdale, the synthpop ballad was released last month after being debuted at a special MasterCard concert in New York City on October 17. The track will serve as the official lead single from Stefani's forthcoming third solo studio album, which is (hopefully) due out next year.
