Halsey Reportedly Hits Back at Eminem’s Diss Track + Lyrics About Her Sex Life
Halsey seriously doesn't appreciate being dragged into the hot, steaming mess that is Eminem and Machine Gun Kelly's lame rap beef.
The pop star apparently tweeted and deleted about the two rappers' ongoing feud earlier this week, highlighting the blatant misogyny and hypocrisy of Eminem rapping about her "getting f---ed" while "simultaneously defending his own daughter" in his diss track towards her rumored ex, MGK.
See below:
It all started on August 31 when Eminem released his surprise album, Kamikaze, which included a song ("Not Alike") mocking MGK for not being able to live up to his OG white rapper legacy: "Next time you don’t gotta use Tech N9ne if you wanna come at me with a sub-machine gun / And I’m talking to you but you already know who the f--- you are, Kelly / I don’t use sublims and sure as f--- don’t sneak-diss / But keep commenting on my daughter Hailie."
Later the same day, G-Eazy got in on the action, accusing MGK of being jealous of his and Halsey's on-again, off-again relationship. "Call a Uber, turn on the radio, imagine hearing me / ‘Him & I’s on, mad you’re listening to Halsey sing to me," G-Eazy rapped on the track, called "Bad Boy."
But it didn't end there: Just hours later, MGK leveled his response in a freestyle aired on Hot 97. He rapped about G-Eazy copying his style, as well as claimed he had sex with Halsey while she and the "Power" artist were on a break over the summer: "I f---ed his girl now he look like me / This s--- overbearing / How dare him, I dare him."
Then, on September 14, Eminem dropped his scathing response to MGK. The song, "Killshot," took aim at the 28-year-old Cleveland rapper, bringing up Halsey's relationship with G-Eazy in an effort to agitate MGK.
"Young Gerald is balls deeps inside of Halsey," Eminem rapped on the track. (Gerald is G-Eazy's real first name.)
Truth be told, we don't care about Eminem, Machine Gun Kelly and G-Eazy's stupid feud, but it's pretty disgusting that each party involved has repeatedly attempted to drag Halsey and her otherwise private sex life into their drama. Halsey literally has nothing to do with this petty beef, and who she does or does not choose to be intimate with should not be lyrical fodder for three grown men.
Unfortunately, this feud doesn't seem to be slowing down, though hopefully they'll all leave Halsey out of it moving forward.
