UPDATE (1/13): The full version of the song has officially arrived! Listen above, and grab the song on iTunes.

Put your copy of Santa Clause Lane on pause for a brief moment, because Hilary Duff is blessing us with an early Christmas surprise: The superstar, formerly known as Lizzie McGuire and currently known as Kelsey Peters of Younger, has recorded a cover of "Little Lies" by Fleetwood Mac.

According to People (where the track teaser premiered this morning), the Breathe In. Breathe Out. '00s pop icon recorded her pulsing update to the 1987 Tango in the Night hit, which she worked on with Glee producers Alex and Adam Anders, for the second season of her TV Land series Younger.

"They did a great job. It really makes you want to dance," Hil gushed about the producers. "It's a little heavier and a little darker toward the end. I think it's going to fit really well with the show."

Think Hilary's an odd pick to take on the legendary rock troupe? Well, think again. (Also, clearly you've never heard "Mr. James Dean" or "The Getaway.")

"Fleetwood Mac is seriously one of my favorite bands of all time," Queen Duff revealed in an interview about recording the cover.

Also, can we talk about these HilDuff studio notes in the video for a moment? The "Lies" drawn with a heart! "Sing it out"!

Although we only have the extended preview up top to work with for now (it's got a little dub-y breakdown, a la Britney's "Hold It Against Me"!), this is already, unquestionably, the most important post-Disney pop princess Stevie Nicks-adjacent cover since Lindsay Lohan's fiery take on "Edge of Seventeen" for A Little More Personal (Raw).

I don't mean to reignite that rivalry, but let's face it: it's basically 2004 all over again. I wonder what Aaron Carter thinks about all this?
