‘Idol’ Contestant Scotty McCreery Wants to Know ‘Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not’

For his second round of performance on 'American Idol' tonight, Scotty McCreery took on the contemporary country hit from Thompson Square, 'Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not.' Jimmy Iovine chose the song for Scotty, and the North Carolina boy was clearly happy with his mentor's pick.

McCreery whipped out his acoustic guitar for his rendition of the Thompson Square song, and also took his normal seat on his stool in the center of the 'Idol' stage. The performance was classic Scotty, as he sang with his country fervor and taking full advantage of his wide vocal range.

Everybody loves Scotty! The judges, the audience, all of America can't get enough of the country cutie, and his cover of 'Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not' was no exception. Steven Tyler enjoyed seeing Scotty show his romantic side, and judge Jennifer Lopez gushed over McCreery, as well. Randy Jackson closed out the critiques with his mantra (for those who are worthy of hearing it), "Scotty's in it to win it!"
