Italian tenors and global superstars Il Volo -- comprised of Piero Barone (17), Ignazio Boschetto (16) and Gianluca Ginoble (16) -- have been dubbed the Mediterranean's answer to Jonas Brothers, and they brought of their signature Italian flair to the 'American Idol' stage tonight during the show's penultimate week.

They turned in a gorgeous rendition of the time-honored Italian standard 'Oh Solo Mio.' Kudos to 'Idol' producers for stepping outside of the American pop culture box with one of tonight's performers and dosing the show with a much-needed shot of international flavor.

Il Volo is comprised of teenagers, yet the sing like seasoned veterans, a quality that reminds us of semi-finalist Scotty McCreery. Their age makes them a wonderful example for the remaining contestants, who are all young and hungry. We personally love Piero Barone -- with the red serial killer spectacles -- who has a voice that absolutely slays.

These three young men are gifted with romantic voices that will have women of all ages swooning.

Oh Solo Mio is right.
