Jason Derulo Opens Up About Dating Again After Split from Jordin Sparks

Since calling it quits on their romantic relationship last September, Jason Derulo and Jordin Sparks have focused on their careers. But Derulo has now revealed that he's back on the dating scene.

"I am dating," Derulo told E! News. "I want somebody that I can talk to and is kind like me and likes to have fun and try new things."

While he says he doesn't really have a type, there is one quality that rubs him the wrong way. "I don't like anyone that is too boojie cause I am not that boojie so it does not work if that's the case," he revealed. "I like someone that is smart that I can have an intelligent conversation with and someone that desires to take care of me like I desire to take care of them."

Now that he's on the market and on the prowl once again, Jason admits that he doesn't do it alone and brings the family to make sure he doesn't go for the wrong girl.

"I have my wingmen, my little cousins," he tells Us Magazine. "They help me sift through the weirdos and find someone cool out of all the people I meet at clubs or events. It doesn’t matter to me where I meet them — if they are a nice-looking person and we mesh well, why not?"

So what inspired all this dating talk?

“I would if it wasn’t so unpredictable,” he told Us. “I’d probably meet some huge fans, but otherwise it’s not a safe bet. Maybe if they come up with a version of Tinder for celebrities, then I would do it. I do think it is a beautiful thing and works.”
