Jason Derulo’s upcoming album Everything is 4 is set to have a whole bunch of unexpected collaborations, including tracks that will feature Jennifer Lopez and Meghan Trainor. And if the lead single “Want to Want Me” is any indication of the sound that album is headed toward, it’ll probably be chock full of summer anthems and warm-weather hits. Yes, we are, admittedly, excited for what the future may hold. And then Derulo went ahead and dropped a maelstrom of surprise when he unveiled the most surprising collaboration of all: a song called “Broke” upon which he is joined by soul legend Stevie Wonder and Nicole Kidman’s husband, Keith Urban.

Derulo is the song’s sole vocalist — with Stevie Wonder and Urban contributing only to the instrumental aspects of the song. But it’s an interesting meeting of genres typically far removed from each other. Urban’s jangling guitars lend a country-feel and a twang to the soul-infused R&B track. Meanwhile, Wonder gets a much needed spotlight with his harmonica solo. Somehow, the melding of Urban's banjo with Derulo's super slick vocals doesn't feel out of place here. We can only hope the rest of the collaborations on Derulo's upcoming album come together as seamlessly as this one did.

Everything is 4 is slated for a June 2 release, but in the meantime you can check out “Broke” above. And -- just in case you need a refresher on the pop masterpiece -- check out "Want to Want Me" while you're at it.
