R&B and pop star Jason Derulo surprised music fans tonight as he crossed genres and joined country superstars Luke Bryan and Florida Georgia Line at the CMT Music Awards. Derulo joined Florida Georgia Line and Bryan as they performed their hit 'This Is How We Roll,' and then transitioned to perform Derulo's pop hit, 'Talk Dirty,' together.

While Derulo's appearance had been leaked before the show, viewers were treated to a surprise appearance featuring ZZ Top as they played 'La Grange.'

A remix of 'This Is How We Roll' with Derulo was released on iTunes after their performance.

Florida Georgia Line topped mainstream charts when they partnered with Nelly on a remix of 'Cruise,' and they'll be looking to repeat the same success with Derulo contributing to 'This Is How We Roll.'

Derulo told the Associated Press (courtesy of Billboard) before the awards show: "It's really cool, man, because I've always dreamed of having my music cross boundaries and enter into different walks of life. Just because you love country music doesn't mean you can't love other genres of music. So the fact that they thought of my song to be at the CMTs is unbelievable. I'm just really excited more than anything and I have my cowboy hat on deck."

Bryant told CMT that he was looking forward to performing with Derulo. "I saw Jason for the first time out at the Billboard Awards," he said. "His performance was amazing. I'm excited. It will be just a great performance. It'll be a lot of fun."
