Jennifer Lopez Developing Lesbian-Themed Drama for ABC Family
Jennifer Lopez continues to traffic in TV. Beyond her status as an 'American Idol' judge and as producer of 'Q'Viva!,' her reality competition show that harvests talent from Latin regions, Lopez is working on a new, scripted drama for ABC Family and she may even guest star on the series. The show revolves around a lesbian-led family. How progressive of J. Lo and ABC Family!
The show is currently untitled, according to Deadline. It features a lesbian couple: one is a cop, the other a private school teacher. They have a biological son and adopted teen twins of the boy and girl sort. Their life is turned upside down when a teenage girl moves in. That dynamic sounds like a recipe for lots of "must see" TV.
We're already thinking about what role La Lopez could play if and when does indeed guest star on the show. Would J. Lo play a lesbian herself? We'd love to see her tackle that sort of storyline -- and not flipflop about it like she did in that lil' old disaster 'Gigli'!
The diva of all divas is executive producing, and the show is being fast tracked into production, so fans could see it on air sooner than later.
Does this sound like a show you'd watch, PopCrushers?
