Sad news for American Horror Story fans. After four seasons, Jessica Lange will not return to the hit TV show.

The actress broke the news during AHS' panel at PaleyFest on Sunday (March 15).

“Yes, I’m done," the Oscar-winning actress told the crowd (via Huffington Post). "We’ve had a great run here. I absolutely love doing these four characters, and in all madness, I love the writers and Ryan and the insanity of shooting it.”

Lange received critical acclaim for her role in American Horror Story. She was nominated for a Golden Globe each year of the series, winning the Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role statue for Season 1. Additionally, the actress earned three Emmy nominations for the show, and won for her work in the first and third seasons.

Although Lange's departure is saddening for AHS fans, there's some very, very exciting news on the horizon. White Collar star Matt Bomer will be joining Season 5 of the show, titled, American Horror Story: Hotel, which also features Lady Gaga.

Little is known about Bomer's role, since all he revealed is, "I can’t confirm nor deny that there will be a romantic relationship [with Lady Gaga’s character]." So. Much. Suspense. Us Weekly reports that the actor previously appeared in Season 4's American Horror Story: Freak Show as "a gay bar employee who survives despite being stabbed and dismembered."

Glee and 30 Rock star Cheyenne Jackson is also slated to appear on the upcoming AHS season. You can catch all of the action when American Horror Story: Hotel premieres in October.
