Gary (born Kang Hee-gun), one-half of Korean hip-hop duo Leessang, has officially tied the knot...much to everybody's surprise.

The news came earlier today (Apr. 5) in the form of a serene Instagram post, in which the former Running Man cast member spilled the secret to his 3.1+ million fans: "I got married to the person I love today. There was no wedding, but the two of us became a married couple through our own expression. My wife is a non-celebrity woman, who shook my soul in a moment. Though there may be those of you who are shocked by the marriage news, I hope you bless our new future with a happy heart. I'll live well and happily for the rest of my life," the 39-year-old superstar wrote. (Translation via AllKPop.)

The OMG-filled comment section of his Instagram post is now full of well wishes, shocked emojis and declarations of surprise — and some slight fan outrage, of course. ("I cannot accept the truth that you got married," one dramatically wrote.)

The Running Man cast apparently had no idea — or even his own agency, according to Soompi: "We did not know about Gary’s marriage. We were notified right before [he uploaded the post]. We have nothing in particular to say as his agency, and the information on his Instagram post is all.”

Gary joined as a cast member on variety show Running Man in 2010 and stayed on the roster for nearly seven years, ultimately leaving the show at the end of 2016 to focus on music. He dropped his controversial debut EP Mr. Gae in 2014, which was banned by music TV networks for its 19+ mature lyrical content. He was most recently nominated for Best Rap Performance at the Mnet Asian Music Awards in 2016 for "Lonely Night" with Gaeko of Dynamic Duo.
