Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom are "giving love a second chance," according to a source for Entertainment Tonight.

The pop star and actor, who dated throughout 2016 and 2017 before confirming they were taking a break in March of last year, were spotted hanging out together earlier this year, sparking rumors of a reconciliation. Speaking to ET, an unnamed source shared that the former couple aren't just "hooking up"—they're back together.

"The time they spend together alone is a way for them to build a new healthy relationship that is not under the eyes of their fans and the world," the source said. "They both live very busy lives and have carefully made a plan to give their love a second chance."

The sourced added that Perry "was so depressed when they broke up ... truly devastated," which is why she didn't bring Bloom to her brother David's wedding earlier in February.

"She knew they would be photographed at a public event and therefore would be under a microscope again," the source explained. "They want to avoid having to answer questions about their relationship."

Perry and Bloom, who officially split one year ago, couldn't stay away from each other during the breakup, spending Labor Day together and even attending an Ed Sheeran concert just months after splitting up.

“Orlando was begging [for] her back, soon after the breakup," the source added. "Katy knew she was in no way ready, but they continued to talk regularly. They were best friends at the very least."

Hopefully this time around, neither of them will become "The One That Got Away."
